PUBLIC NOTICE FROM JASPER-NEWTON ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE COVID-19 VIRUS

 

JNEC is committed to providing safe and reliable electricity to our members while doing our part to limit the transmission of the COVID-19 virus. The cooperative will continue to monitor the COVID-19 virus outbreak closely and take steps following the recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to protect the health of our community. 

We want to do everything we can to keep our members, employees, and communities safe while providing reliable power. We are asking people to limit the face-to-face interaction between our employees and the public. We regret any inconvenience this may cause you, but this proactive step is to protect the health of our employees and our members during the COVID-19 virus pandemic. Therefore, we are requesting the following:

  • You can conduct all account-related business over the phone or by email (memberservice@jnec.com), Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • You may review account information or pay your bill free by logging into your account through my.JNEC.
  • You can also use our automated phone system to review account information or make a payment.
  • Members can continue to conduct business at both JNEC offices in Kirbyville and Jasper. 

We take precautions in our offices, including education about the virus and prevention through hand washing and intensified cleaning, as well as heightened monitoring for symptoms of COVID-19.
